American Express to Open First Lounge in Chinese Mainland
American Express revealed this week that it will soon open tis first airport lounge in the Chinese mainland, and more precisely in Shanghai.
This will not be a Centurion Lounge, but an American Express Lounge, part of the American Express Global Lounge Collection. It will be located at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA), instead of Shanghai Pudong (PVG) which is the main international hub.
The new lounge is located in the pre-security area of the 21M Floor of Terminal 2 at SHA and will open to eligible local and international American Express Card Members from April 1st.
Eligible American Express Card Members can enjoy complimentary access to the lounge and may bring up to one or two guests per visit, depending on their Card type.
