Amex Delta Gold Best Ever Bonus

Amex Delta Gold Card Best Ever Bonus

Just a week ago we wrote about the improved offers for American Express Delta cards. These are some of the best offers we have seen with up to 95K SkyMiles, MQMs and $200 credits. For the firs time ever there’s also 0% introductory APR on Delta SkyMiles Gold and Platinum Consumer and Business Amex Cards. But now it’s possible to get an even better bonus with the Delta SkyMiles Gold card.

There are actually two offers available. You can either 90,000 SkyMiles and a $200 statement credit, or 70,000 SkyMiles and a $400 statement credit. Let’s see the details for each offer, and how you can find them.

The Offers

Offer 1

  • Earn 70,000 Bonus Miles when you spend $2,000 within the first 3 months
  • Earn a $400 statement credit after your first Delta purchase within the first 3 months.
  • Plus, get a 0% introductory APR on purchases for 12 months from the day of account opening, then a variable APR applies.
  • $99 Annual Fee (waived first year)

Offer 2

  • Earn 90,000 Bonus Miles when you spend $2,000 within the first 3 months
  • Earn a $200 statement credit after your first Delta purchase within the first 3 months.
  • Plus, get a 0% introductory APR on purchases for 12 months from the day of account opening, then a variable APR applies.
  • $99 Annual Fee (waived first year)

How to Get the Offer

The offer shows up when doing a booking directly on the Delta website. A dummy booking is sufficient, meaning that you don’t have to actually book a flight. Just go up to the payment page and the offer should show up at the bottom. Check the ‘Apply for the Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card’ box and you’ll be taken to the application page, showing the same offer.

Card Details

  • Earn 2X miles at restaurants (including takeout and delivery), U.S. supermarkets and Delta Purchases.
  • First checked bag free
  • Priority boarding
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • Discounted Delta lounge access ($29 vs $50)
  • 20% savings on purchases made in flight
  • See our full review.

Conclusion

These offers are the best we have ever seen for the Amex Delta Gold card. If you get either of these welcome bonuses to show up while booking a Delta flight, it is definitely worth applying if you are eligible. You are getting close about $1,200 in value for the first year as the annual fee is also waived.

The only to do even better is to apply through a referral link that sometimes gets you 30K Membership Rewards points. That should be more valuable when combined with the current public offer of 70K SkyMiles and $200 credit. Some Delta cards are also showing an improved referral bonus. You can earn 20,000 miles for each approved referral and a $100 Statement Credit after you make a Delta purchase in the 3 months after your first friend is approved.
