Amex Offers

American Express went crazy overnight and released a ton of new Amex Offers. Some can only be loaded via the American Express website while others are available via Twitter. Many of these offers will be attractive given that they are at popular merchants. Let’s take a look.

Best Buy Amex Offer

The Offer

Get a one-time $25 statement credit by using your connected Card to spend a minimum of $250+ in one or more transactions in-store at Best Buy or online at bestbuy.com by 9/5/2016.

How to Load

This offer may be available on the Amex website or it can be loaded via Twitter with the hashtag #AmexBestBuy.

Full offer terms here.

How to Maximize

Some Best Buy stores sell Visa gift cards issued by Metabank if you are still into playing around with those. Alternatively, this could be good for 10% off Best Buy or merchant gift cards. Don’t forget that some cards also have a targeted Amex Offer giving 2X Membership Rewards points at Bestbuy.com. You should be able to stack both offers if your card has them.

Bed Bath & Beyond Amex Offer

The Offer

Get a one-time $5 statement credit by using your connected Card to spend a total of $25 or more in-store at Bed Bath & Beyond or online at bedbathandbeyond.com by 9/5/2016.

How to Load

This offer may be available on the Amex website or it can be loaded via Twitter with the hashtag #AmexBBB

Full offer terms here.

How to Maximize

Many Bed Bath & Beyond stores sell Visa gift cards, although with the low offer amount you would have to do a lot of split payments. This offer could also be good for 20% off at Bed Bath and Beyond and don’t forget to combine with their frequent 20% off coupons as well. Finally, there could be a small profit in reselling Bed Bath and Beyond gift cards.

Nike Amex Offer

The Offer

Get a one-time $15 statement credit by using your connected Card to spend a total of $75 or more online at nike.com by 9/5/2016.

How to Load

This offer may be available on the Amex website or it can be loaded via Twitter with the hashtag #AmexNike

Full offer terms here.

How to Maximize

This is mostly good for Nike gift cards or merchandise. There also may be a small profit in gift card reselling.

Boxed.com Amex Offer

The Offer

Get a one-time $20 statement credit by using your connected Card to spend a minimum of $50+ in one or more transactions online at Boxed.com by 10/15/16.

How to Load

This offer may be available on the Amex website or it can be loaded via Twitter with the hashtag #AmexBoxed

Full offer terms here.

How to Maximize

Boxed carries a wide variety of household goods. Stock up on essentials or items they carry at a good price and take advantage of this 40% discount.

HP Amex Offer

The Offer

Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $250+ in one or more transactions online at store.hp.com by 9/12/2016. See terms for exclusions.

How to Load

This offer appears to only be available via the Amex website and cannot be loaded via Twitter. It was available on all of my cards.

How to Maximize

Get 20% off merchandise from HP.com or purchase gift cards to use later. Wait for a big portal bonus when buying merchandise to save even more!

Macy’s Amex Offer

The Offer

Get a one-time $20 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $100+ in one or more transactions in-store at Macy’s or online at macys.com by 8/31/2016.

How to Load

This offer appears to only be available via the Amex website and cannot be loaded via Twitter. I noticed that it wasn’t available on my business cards, but was available on all of my personal cards.

How to Maximize

20% off Macy’s is a good start. Utilize their many discounts and sales to save on just about everything in-store and online. There isn’t always a ton of opportunity, but some exists.

Conclusion

Considering the complete lack of good Amex Offers we have seen this year, this flurry of new offers is most welcome! Did I miss any new offers that came out today? Have any advice for maximizing these offers that I left out? Feel free to share in the comments!

  1. You posted about erosion of deals yesterday. I’d like to nominate this for erosion of helpfulness from blogs. You mention gift cards but don’t fully explain how to ‘maxmize’ such transaction. I feel like back in 2015 you would have made that extra effort.

    • I’m sorry you feel that way but this was an introduction post to many new offers and not an in depth post to all of them. I did cover how you could take advantage of each, but would be more than happy to help guide you. Which offer are you more interested in finding out about. I am already planning on writing more about the Best Buy offer.

      • dont bother bro. dont kid yourself. you do more than enough. I didnt know the title of your blog site was “Million Mile Secrets”. no need to spoon feed anyone in this game. we already see what happens when you do. we dont need another Alaska Airlines blaming travel hackers. i believe in Robin Hood but also survival of the fittest.

  2. Hey Shawn,

I also had an Amex Offer giving 3X Membership Rewards® points for Boxed.com on one or two of my cards.
