Amex Offers Roundup
In addition to the very generous Sears.com Amex Offer which I covered this morning, the company released five additional offers as well. All of these offers are publicly available and can be loaded via Twitter. Let’s take a look.
How to Load
All of the following offers can be loaded on the American Express website, app or via social media such as Twitter by using the appropriate hashtag as detailed below. As of the time of publishing all of these offers are still available, but it isn’t uncommon for offers to reach capacity quickly.
FedEx Amex Offer

Analysis
The great thing about holiday time Amex Offers is that they often coincide with in-store promotions. For Olive Garden and Five Guys look for gift card promotions that will stack with the offer’s discount. These gift cards probably won’t be great for resale, but if you already eat at those restaurants then it might be a win. Also remember that Olive Garden is owned by Darden, so I think their gift cards are good at other Darden brands as well.
As for the rest, Pier 1 and The Container Store aren’t really deal centric stores, but they will have holiday promotions. FedEx is the offer that intrigues me. I wonder if they sell gift cards in-store and if somehow they would trigger the offer. $5 off $10 isn’t huge, but it could be fun.
Conclusion

You are correct that Olive Garden GCs can be used at other Darden properties. From their website,
“Darden gift cards may be redeemed at any Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52, Yard House, Red Lobster or any other Darden restaurant in the U.S.”

FedEx does NOT have gift cards, just a rewards program. I asked the other day.
I am more wondering if they sell third party gift cards in their stores.
