Lufthansa Lounge Access Is Now a Permanent Benefit for Amex Platinum Cards
American Express Platinum Card and Centurion members have enjoyed access to Lufthansa airport lounges over the last few years as part of The American Express Global Lounge Collection. Eligible cardmembers could access select Lufthansa lounges when flying with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa or Swiss.
This has been a temporary benefit that has been continually extended, with the latest extension set to end on April 30, 2021. But while that date has yet to be updated on the US website, it is already showing on the German site as a permanent benefit, with no expiration. The change was first noted by One Miles at a Time here.

Conclusion
It’s good to finally see this partnership become a permanent benefit for American Express Platinum cardholders. It’s worth noting that Lufthansa lounges in the United States are part of Priority Pass. That means that you can access them with the complimentary Priority Pass membership that comes with Amex Platinum cards. You need to show a boarding pass for a same-day flight.
