ANA Changes Coming June 24

All Nippon Airways (ANA) “Around the World” award tickets are some of the best redemptions available.

You can literally travel the world and get great value for your miles. It does require a lot or work and planning to actually book, but it is worth it for those willing to do it.

But here’s the bad news. ANA is ending its Star Alliance Round the World award tickets. There’s now an announcement on their website that says:

From June 24, 2025 onward, no new Star Alliance Round the World award tickets will be issued. Star Alliance Round the World award tickets issued up to June 23, 2025 can be used as usual until their ticket expiration date, including any changes or similar factors.

In other ANA news, the carrier is raising the cost of many award tickets on its own flights, with travel booked from that same date of June 24, 2025.

As reported by View from the Wing, ANA is also introducing one-way awards for half the cost of roundtrip. That’s for ANA flights as well as partner awards.
