Apple to Build 192-Room Hotel in Austin

Apple is building a new corporate campus in Austin for $1 billion. The campus plans were announced a long time ago, but site plans approved in late April revealed a new addition. You can now look forward to staying at an Apple hotel.

What was once office buildings and parking garages would become a 192-room, six-story hotel. This 75,500-square-foot hotel will be part of a three million square-foot campus. The structure will be Apple’s very first hotel, but for now the tech giant doesn’t seem to eye the hospitality industry just yet.

The concept is not new. American Airlines is currently building a corporate hotel as well in Fort Worth. The American Airlines hotel will have 600 rooms, a training center and conference space.

Apple’s new campus and hotel in Austin  is expected to open in 2022.
