Interesting Articles

Here are some interesting articles I found on miles, points, travel and personal finance:

Hilton Hotel Finds “Club” Loophole To Deny Diamond Members Lounge Access – One Mile at a Time

To be fair, I do think this looks to be a major step up compared to domestic Hilton lounges. If it in fact covers dining all day and an open bar then I think it makes sense to label it as more than an executive lounge. It is more in line with what you see internationally with Hilton (maybe even a bit better than many of even those that I have ventured in to). Honestly, I can’t even remember the last domestic Hilton lounge I went into in. I could see crappy lounges rebranding to block access, which will be a hit to elites. Especially if it spreads overseas.

$10 Paze Credits Starting To Post – Doctor of Credit

It has been interesting to see how these have posted on different timelines between issuers. Sometimes even within the same issuer depending on whether it is a Visa or Mastercard.

Asiana Confirms Star Alliance Exit Date – Danny the Deal Guru

It was expected, but always sad to see a loss of options within an alliance.
