Too many people in the world. Life has less value. The same is done in the united states but under different pretexts.
If the EU model goes through, rewards cards will be a thing of the past (like rewards debits) or rewards will be severely curtailed. As it stands, it may be the case that some stores will stop taking credit cards altogether and move to just cash and/or debit transactions for all cards.
