Why I’ve stopped being concerned about 5/24 (again) – Points with a Crew

I gave up on Chase owned products for good years ago and never looked back.  I still grab a few of the non 5/24 cards from time to time.  And I agree with Ian that the Chase World of Hyatt card is worth getting off the sidelines for. It quickly became one of my favorite cards.  But with Chase’s recent changes and the 48 month rule I think more people will be saying no more.

Don’t be surprised if they roll out the rule to the Southwest cards just like they did with the family rule.  The companion pass remains the only reason to hold out right now but even then it may take you to the dark side.

How Family Friendly Is Southwest, Really? As the Joe Flies

An interesting look at if Southwest really deserves to called a family friendly airline.  I actually prefer flying with my kids on Southwest, until they age out, because it makes their boarding easier.

Bitcoin Miners Flock to New York’s Remote Corners, but Get Chilly Reception – NY Times

I got this from Vinh at Miles per Day on Twitter.  Interesting read if you are into crypto investing at all.

How one resort is fighting to save Thailand’s Phi Phi Islands – CNN Travel

Shawn just did an Instagram post of his trip to Maya Bay and I found this interesting.  It is sad to see tourism destroy such a beautiful area.
