Hacking Hyatt: Prive for the win in New York City – Frequent Miler
Nick puts together a good post on how he booked Prive for a recent trip to NYC. The program is similar to Amex FHR or Chase LHR but offers a few different perks. Worth checking out if you are paying cash for an upcoming hotel stay for sure.
MY MISTAKE THAT COST US 92 CREDIT SCORE POINTS – Family Flys Free
I like that Ian is willing to show his mistakes. So many people only write about their wins. We are all human and make mistakes and even systems that have worked for years sometimes fail you.
Congress Proposes Trusted Traveler REAL ID Relief Act – Travel Pulse
I think the REAL ID program is going to be a hot mess when it first launches. So many people are going to go to the airport without having proper identification. I think people should automatically be changed into the compliant ID but nothing is being mentioned to people as they are updating their ID’s.

The Real ID program has been advertised for years. My dmv renewal in NY has sent me 4 notices already for renewal that encourages me to apply for real ID when I renew my license. People may not know about it because they are purposely ignorant. We are always held back by select groups who claim they are unduly burdened when it is just their nature to be a certain way. It’s even more ridiculous that we don’t have a voting picture identification system that ensures fairness and equity in voting. We need IDs for buying Sudafed, for opening a bank account in branch or entering a government building like federal court house. Yet producing ID is considered too much of a burden for one group when it comes to voting.
Hey Mark, thanks for linking to my AMEX chat post. Enjoy your weekend – rainy in Sonoma County this weekend ;(
Thanks Grant – some rain is better than what we get most of the time in the Midwest haha. Although Sunday was pretty perfect here weather wise.
