CFPB Files Lawsuit Against Fifth Third For Allegedly Opening Unauthorized Accounts – Doctor of Credit
I had a situation years ago with Fifth Third where I went in to set up a checking account, for the bonus of course, and the banker auto enrolled me into a savings account that I didn’t want. He put half of my initial deposit in it and it was some weird account that you had to go to the bank to withdraw the money to protect your savings from bad decisions etc. So needless to say this lawsuit does not surprise me.
