‘I Would Not Go To A Hotel Right Now’ Says Head Of LA Hotel Workers Union – LAist
This is a little bit of grandstanding by the union I think because I am sure there are many hotels doing it right. But workers shouldn’t be forced to work in conditions like described either. Proper equipment and time should be afforded them. With the occupancy rates so low they should be allowed plenty of time to clean. But with what was found in NYC by Inside Edition it doesn’t seem like extra precautions are being taken like they should…even at expensive properties.
Major Banks Charge Cash Advance Fees For Peer-To-Peer Credit Card Payments (Paypal, Venmo, Square, Etc) – Doctor of Credit
Well this isn’t great news. I know this was kind of a last resort for some to meet spending targets etc. I do wonder if this will be an issue with Visa gift cards though and how that would work.

Was at a Walmart this morning and very glad to see them wiping the self help registers down after each use.
And hotels not doing extra cleaning esp while they have the time…For Shame!
I don’t really believe that Walmart is really closing early just to sanitize their stores. The only thing Walmart is accomplishing by closing early (and limiting the number of customers in the store) is creating huge lines around the block to have to wait to get into the store. Even the Shoprite in NYC which at the beginning of the virus limited their hours and restricted the number of people is now back to being open 24 hours and not restricting the number of people in the store. Walmart needs to get their act together and get back to normal store hours.
