Is Delta loyalty still worth pursuing? (on my mind) – Frequent Miler

I will say my belief has always been that status isn’t worth pursuing unless you were going to earn it (or come close) anyway.  Should you spend your way to Delta status if you only fly them 4-5 times year?  Nope. Same with hotel status.  If you are only staying in Hyatt hotels 15 nights a year do you really need Globalist? Nope. I think we get sucked into thinking we do or that the upgrade makes it all worth it.  Most of the time it would probably be cheaper to just pay the increase in miles or hotel points and book the room you want.  It looks like that is becoming more and more true with Delta.  Also consider how many times you take a more expensive or less convenient flight just to earn status etc.

Disneyland is more than a job for some workers. A wave of layoffs will hit Sunday – Los Angeles Times

This is sad to watch unfold. It doesn’t look like the parks in California will open anytime soon.  With the unrealistic guidelines it looks like it could be years.  I think lawsuits etc. will eventually change the timeline but it isn’t going to be any time soon in my opinion.

Reader – Synchrony shut down my Amazon card – Miles Per Day

Don’t cycle the Amazon card it appears.  If you need more bandwidth I think the Amex Business Prime is a good option.
