IHG Launches Yet Another Luxury Hotel Brand: Should Accor Be Worried? – Skift

I am so tired of hotel companies continually adding brands instead of working on fixing the ones they already have.  The one IHG is trying to launch makes a lot more sense though since it will be a soft brand.  Basically independent hotels join for more exposure, advertising etc. but keep their uniqueness. It will be similar to Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts and Marriott’s The Luxury Collection.

I thought of this as one of the better no fee cards out there when it first launched. But when they moved to it only working as Uber credit instead of cash back the writing was on the wall for this to happen.
