Barclays AAdvantage Aviator Business Card Has New 80K Bonus
Barclays has a business version of the AAdvantage Aviator credit card. While the card itself is not very exciting, it currently has a huge welcome bonus which is also the best ever offered. You can earn a total of 80,000 AAdvantage miles. Let’s look at the details.
The Offer
Earn up to 80,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles:
- Earn 50,000 miles after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first 90 days.
- Plus, earn 30,000 miles after spending a total of $6,000 on purchases within the first 12 months.
Annual fee of $95 is not waived.
Card Benefits
- First checked bag free for the primary cardmember and up to 4 companions
- Earn 2X miles for every one dollar spent on eligible American Airlines purchases
- Earn 1X miles on all other purchases
- 10% of your redeemed miles back (10,000 miles maximum per calendar year)
- Earn $3,000 Elite Qualifying Dollars (“EQDs”) after spending $25,000 in Net Purchases.
- Companion Certificate good for 1 guest at $99, issued each year after your account anniversary if you spend $30,000 or more on eligible purchases (taxes and fees apply).
- No foreign transaction fees
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age. This offer is available only to applicants who are residents of the United States, with the exception of Puerto Rico and the US territories.
This offer is available to new cardmembers only.
Conclusion
This is the best bonus we have seen on this card. The previous highest offer was 75,000 miles. This is also a business card, so it doesn’t report to your personal credit report.
You need to spend a total of $6,000 to get the full welcome bonus. That’s on the high end, as far as spending requirements go, but you have a full year to make it happen. You also need to pay the annual fee of $95.
