Earn Up to 4,500 Bonus Miles with Airline Shopping Portals

United Airlines and Southwest Airlines have launched new shopping portal promotions for members, offering up to a total of 4,500 bonus miles. You can earn up to 2,500 MileagePlus miles and up to 2,000 Rapid Rewards points. Let’s see the details of the two offers.

United MileagePlus Shopping

During the “Back-to-School Bonus” offer, which runs from 7/16/2023 through 8/14/2023 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will earn a one-time bonus of up to 2,500 MileagePlus bonus award miles on qualifying purchases made through the MileagePlus Shopping mall or from purchases made through MileagePlus Shopping in-store offers.

This one-time bonus award will be based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period using one of the following tiers:

  • Spend $150, earn 500 bonus miles
  • Spend $350, earn 1,500 bonus miles
  • Spend $600, earn 2,500 bonus miles

Southwest Rapid Rewards Shopping

During the “Back-to-School Bonus” offer, which runs from July 17, 2023 at 12:00 a.m. ET through August 14, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. ET, Rapid Rewards Shopping members will earn a one-time bonus of up to 2,000 Rapid Rewards bonus points on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard Rapid Rewards points earned from shopping online through Rapid Rewards Shopping.

This one-time bonus award will be determined using one of the following tiers, based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period:

  • Spend $125, earn 250 bonus points
  • Spend $300, earn 1000 bonus points
  • Spend $500, earn 2,000 bonus points
