Update: Venture X Business cardholders who have the Mastercard version will also lose access to non-lounge airport experience in Oct. 31, 2025. That’s when their current Priority Pass Select membership will expire, and they will have to re-enroll.

Capital One Venture X Business is a popular travel rewards card for small business. It launched last year as the business version of the already popular Venture X Card.

The Capital One Venture X Business card offers a big welcome bonus, and valuable benefits such a $300 travel credit, 10,000 bonus points annually, and lounge access that includes Priority Pass and Capital One Lounges.

However, the business version has one small benefit that the consumer card does not offer, access to Priority Pass non-lounge airport locations. That includes things like restaurants, spas and more. On that front, there’s some bad news.

While current Capital One Venture X Business cardholders an continue to enjoy access to Priority Pass restaurants and other non-lounge airport locations for now, new applicants will not have this benefit.

The card switched from Mastercard to Visa in late April. So if you have the old Mastercard version, then you should still see restaurants in the Priority Pass app. It’s not clear if or when Capital One will convert current cardholders to Visa.

This is a big loss for new Capital One Venture X Business cardholders, as Priority Pass restaurants are a quite popular option for frequent flyers. Premium Chase cards are also dropping Priority Pass restaurants soon, so very few cards will offer it going forward.

To make things worse, Capital One did not give advance notice about this change. In fact, they did not give any notice at all!

  1. I received the email and it is indeed a bummer. But it doesn’t end until 10/31/25–isn’t that “advance notice” of the change?

    • The “advance notice” part of the article was about the original nerf of this benefit back in 2024. The update is about the Venture X Business Mastercard which still had the benefit.
