Capital One Offering 50K Bonus for Venture X Upgrade
Capital One recently released its first premium card, the Venture X. This card comes with a big welcome bonus that’s worth $1,200 or more and valuable benefits for a $395 annual fee.
One issue with Capital One is that they pull your report from all three credit bureaus. But some people could be able to get the new Venture X card without worrying about applying all. Capital One is targeting some current cardholders with an offer to upgrade to the Capital One Venture X card and earn a bonus of 50,000 points. Let’s check the details of this offer.
The Offer
Earn 50,000 bonus miles when you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first three months after you upgrade. We value you as a Capital One customer—that’s why we’re excited to offer you an opportunity to experience Venture X WITHOUT APPLYING. All you have to do is claim your offer to upgrade by December 02, 2021.
You must have received an email directly from Capital One in order to be eligible for this upgrade offer.
Conclusion
This is a good option to get the new Capital One Venture X card, especially for those who normally get turned down by Capital One. It is also a good bonus without a hard pull, if you are worried about Chase 5/24 limit.
But the bonus you get with the upgrade is less than half of the current public offer. You get 50,000 points, which are worth $500 or more, instead of 100,000 points. Also the upgrade offer doesn’t seem to include the $200 in statement credits for vacation rental purchases like Airbnb and VRBO.
Let us know what you think. Would you take this upgrade offer or apply for a new card?

I would accept this offer if they offered it to me because of saving me from the 3 credit bureau pulls and the Chase 5/24 is worth it to me. 50K points isn’t worht as much as it used to, expecially with the millions of points and miles I have accumulated due to not traveling these past 2 years.
