CardCash only guarantees their cards for 45 days. From time to time cards purchased from CardCash do go bad. They have always done a good job of guaranteeing cards within the 45 day window, however I would not buy a card unless you have an immediate use.
Using Southwest Gift Cards
A Southwest gift card may only be redeemed for Passenger travel only at southwest.com, by calling Southwest Airlines at 1-800-435-9792 (1-800 I FLY SWA), or at Southwest Airlines ticket counter locations. You can combine up to three payment methods to pay for your purchase, so if you plan to use a credit card for the remaining balance, you can only use two gift cards at a time.
Conclusion
This is a decent deal since you’re getting an extra 5X in UR points if you’re using Chase Ink cards through PayPal. That should give you some nice savings if you have any paid travel coming up with Southwest. Just keep their guarantee policy in mind and you should be fine.
Southwest gift card are often on sale at 10% off on eBay from PPDG, which also gives you 5X UR, so if you don’t need to purchase immediately, I would suggest waiting for one of those eBay deals.

Can you use southwest gift cards to pay for taxes and early bird checkin on flights that you are traveling for free on points?
Taxes yes but I don’t believe you can for early bird check ins.
