Card Cash Extra 5% Off Select Gift Cards
Card Cash is offering an extra 5% off select gift cards through 12/22 when you use the code HOLIDAY5. Here are the gift cards available and the discount amount after the code:
- Abercrombie – 6% Off
- Buca di Beppo – 23% Off
- Lowes – 11% Off
- Petco – 21% Off
- Sears – 9.5% Off
While we have consistantly seen discounts on some cards like Sears, I think 21% off at Petco is pretty good if you do a lot of shopping there. Also, 11% off at Lowes and 23% off at Buca di Beppo are decent discounts if you have immediate need for those cards.
In general I don’t recommend speculatively purchasing merchant gift cards unless you are sure that you will use them. Tying up money in merchant gift cards is the best way to ensure that you lose any value associated with the discount you receive.
Living Social 20% Off
Living Social is offering 20% off with the code INSTANT20. The code is valid for all purchases on the site through 12/22 and provides a maximum discount of $20.
Don’t forget to go through a shopping portal for additional savings. Several portals pay 5% back and Shop Discover currently is paying 10% back at Living Social.
TravelPony Flash Sale – Extra 10% Off All Bookings
Travelpony is a discount hotel booking site that runs a lot of promotions. Today they are giving 1,000 customers an extra 10% off hotel bookings when they use the code: FLASHPONY. If you don’t currently have an account, you can get $35 off a $200 or more booking when joining. (Personal referral link.)
I usually search TravelPony when looking for hotel deals, but it is just one of many sites I use. They have a limited selection of hotels, but I have seen some hotels on their site at deep discounts. In the end this is a good deal if you have an upcoming stay and they have a discounted hotel that meets your needs.
Always remember to compare prices on any booking site with tools like Kayak and Hipmunk. It never pays to overpay.
