Conclusion
The Chase Aeroplan Card is offering a welcome bonus of 70,000 points after you spend $3,000 in the first three months.
While there’s also a 100,000 bonus available, that offer gives you 70,000 points after spending $4,000, and it requires a total of $20,000 spend within a year to earn the full bonus.
The card has a low annual fee and useful 3x categories such as groceries, restaurants and Air Canada flight. It also gives you an annual credit for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, and also NEXUS.
This is also a good card for those that want status with Air Canada or Star Alliance. You get Aeroplan 25K status for nearly two years if you apply now, and can then maintain status via spending in the future.
The Chase Aeroplan Card also has an interesting Pay Yourself Back program which we have covered in the past. You can redeem Aeroplan points for travel purchases at a value of 1.25 cents each.
