Chase Extends Pay Yourself Back Option for Ink Cards

Chase has a Pay Yourself Back option for cardholders where they can use points to cover eligible charges on their credit cards. This option was first introduced during the pandemic last year, but has proved to be very popular. This is an option for consumer and business credit card members.

Now Chase is extending the offer for Ink credit cards, as well as adding new categories. Cardholders will have an additional three months to use their Ultimate Rewards points to cover specific purchases charged to their business cards. There’s also a new option for all cardholders to use Pay Yourself Back for Lyft’s ‘Fund a Ride’.

UPDATE 1/22/22:

  1. I think the answer is no, but if a Sapphire Reserve and Chase Ink are on the same account, are you able to Pay Yourself Back on office supplies at 1.5?

      • Yes, but only if you earn the 5X on the Ink card then combine the UR’s to C$R.
You can then use one of the C$R’s PYB categories for effective 7.5% cashback.
In order to use the office supply category for PYB, it must be done from the INK.
        6.25% on Ink+, 5.5% Ink Cash.

    • You’re correct, the answer is no.
You can combine UR’s in either direction but can only redeem via PYB based on that card’s PYB categories.
Office supply is a category only on INK, (not C$R).
