Chase has been on a roll lately with big offers across its credit card products. The latest welcome offer increase is for the Chase IHG Premier card. Just a couple of months ago we saw a 140,000 points offer, but now it gets even better. You can earn 150,000 points and the annual fee is still waived the first year. Let’s check the details.

Chase also has a 24 month rule for every credit card:

This product is not available to either current cardmembers of this credit card, or previous cardmembers of this credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months.

What Is The Offer Worth

I put the value of IHG points at around 1/2 cent a piece.  That would make this 150,000 points offer worth about $750. Some people value IHG points slightly higher, so the math gets better. Since the annual fee is waived the first year you get to keep the full value of the offer.

Any time you are getting over $500 in value I think it is a worthwhile offer.  That also doesn’t include the $100 TSA or Global Entry credit. If you need to apply or renew, that is some added value as well.

Final Thoughts

This is a big bonus if you are invested in the IHG program, or if you want to jump into it. You can get good value out of this bonus. Remember that it does stack with the old versions 10% back in points deal too. So you could get 32.5% off 4 night award stays with both cards.

The Chase IHG Premier is likely going to be a long term keeper since most will get more than $89 in value (the annual fee) for the anniversary night stay.
