Chase Ink Business Cards Now Have New Bonus Restriction
Chase has added new restrictions to the welcome bonus for two popular business cards. In the application page for Ink Business Cash and Ink Business Unlimited cards, you will see the following text, all the way at the bottom:
The new cardmember bonus may not be available to you if you have ever had this card or any other Chase for Business card without an annual fee. We may also consider factors pertinent to your business in determining your bonus eligibility.
While Chase has had a similar language in the past, it looks like after this change they are actually enforcing it for some people at least.
I have already seen a few reports of people seeing a pop-up telling them that they are not eligible for the bonus when applying for Chase Ink Business Cash or Unlimited credit cards. I have also seen many other reports that people are still getting approved when they shouldn’t be, based on this language.
So this is a “you mileage may vary” situation, as we don’t how the algorithm works exactly. The pop-up was first introduced to chase card with the launch or the new Sapphire Reserve cards earlier this year.
