No, Chase Ink Cards Have Not Dropped 5/24
The miles and points universe has exploded with excitement over the last hour or so because Chase has temporarily paused Chase 5/24 for the rest of the year. It is a delayed Christmas miracle! I checked my calendar to make sure I didn’t sleep until April 1st some how. Then reality set in, and the data points started piling up. One by one miles fanatics lined up to put in their app, drumming their fingers in excitement waiting for the approval, only to be pigs for the slaughter. That denial smacked them across the face harder than the wind chill on Christmas morning.
See DansDeals had a Chase insider that claims that Chase has dropped 5/24 on all of their Ink cards, but only until December 31st. The only problem is there are report after report after report that this isn’t the case. You can find it on Reddit, Doctor of Credit’s post talking about the 5/24 freeze or in any of the many Facebook Groups. Any positive DPs are likely people trolling or someone who counted up their 5/24 status wrong.
Just so I could be part of the fun, and give you my first hand experience, I lined up an application for myself and my wife. Both were instantly denied, not even a delayed denial. I do have one personal report of a pending result, which is usually a good sign, but not a confirmation of approval yet.
Safe enough to say this is not a freeze on 5/24 and that most, if not all, will be denied just like they would have last week. If you don’t care about hard pulls, and struggle with FOMO, then by all means be my guest. Just don’t be surprised when it doesn’t go your way.

Well I got approved at 7/24 (7 personal cards opened within 24 months). I have 22 credit cards and 2 million miles, I know how to calculate my 5//24.
When I applied for some reason I wasn’t logged in. It made me form a new Business account and I’m not seeing an option to combine the account with my main Chase Business account where my many other chase cards reside.
I’m a bit worried that if I call and ask to combine the accounts that they will shut me down haha. But then I’m also tempted to apply for additional chase cards on that account. Not sure how to proceed.
I have a high income and I’ve noticed that most of the people approved say they do. My guess is that the rule was selectively relaxed until they hit a certain quota.
