Chase Ink Referral Bonus Will be Cut In Half

Chase Ink business cardholders can currently earn 40,000 Ultimate Rewards points when they refer others to apply for one of the credit cards in the Ink family.

This bonus was increased a year ago from 20,000 and is one of the best referral bonuses that we have ever seen. It is better than a signup bonus on many cards. Plus you can receive up to five referral bonuses per year, which can net you up to a whopping 200,000 Ultimate Rewards.

But we have some sad news. The party is about to end, and I’m actually surprised it even lasted this long. The Chase Refer-a-Friend page now has a banner that shows an end date of 9/3/2024 for the 40K referrals. After that, referral will be cut in half, going back to the normal 20,000 points bonus.

As of 9/3/2024, you’ll no longer earn 40,000 bonus points for each business. Instead, you’ll earn 20,000 bonus points for each business, up to 10, that gets approved.

At least Chase is giving us the heads up well in advance, actually just about three months ahead. That will possibly give you enough time to maybe squeeze in another application for your friends and family members.
