Possible $2000 Welcome Offer for Chase Ink Unlimited
Note: Some offers mentioned in this post have expired.
Chase Ink Unlimited currently has a big welcome offer for $900 (90,000 Ultimate Rewards points). But there’s also the possibility to get a an additional 125,000 points for some people. We have seen this targeted offer in the past, but it is now structured differently. It is available through a Chase business relationship manager.
Update 6/9/21: More people have received the offer
The Offer
The first part of the $2,000 or 200,000 points bonus is the same as the public offer:
- Earn $750 bonus cash back after you spend $7,500 on purchases in the first 3 months after account opening
Additionally:
- Earn $1,250 bonus cash back after you spend $50,000 on purchases in the first 6 months after account opening
Card Details
The Chase Ink Unlimited is a pretty good option for non bonus spend. The card earns 1.5% on all purchases, but it can be more appealing than a straight 2% cashback card. You can turn that into 1.5X earning with a premium Ultimate Rewards card. That can be worth 2.25% back on every purchase with Chase’s pay yourself back and a Sapphire Reserve card for example.
The $2,000 bonus becomes 200,000 Ultimate Rewards points if you have another Chase premium card that earns Ultimate Rewards. Cards are as follows:
- Sapphire Reserve
- Sapphire Preferred
- Ink Business Preferred
- Ink Business Plus (no longer available to new applicants)
Conclusion
This is clearly a huge bonus. But it is not an offer that everyone can, or should jump on. First you need to receive this offer from a Chase business relationship manager. And even if you do, you need to make sure that you can manage to spend a total of $50,000 within the first six months.
