Chase Announces New Travel Portal
Chase has revealed that it will soon launch a new travel site at ChaseTravel.com. The launch is planned for later this year. The new website will be open to Chase credit card holders and bank customers. Chase says that account for a total of 66 million U.S. households.
The information was presented at JPMorgan Chase’s annual 2022 investor day earlier in May. Hundreds of slide presentations put forth by Marianne Lake, Co-CEO of consumer & community banking at JPMC on the investor day. And many of these slides provided interesting pieces of information that were first reported by Skift.
Chase also revealed details about the size of its travel business for the first time. The company said it expects to reach about $8 billion in sales volume this year and aiming for $15 billion by 2025. It also said that in terms of US leisure travel, $1 in every $4 spent is on a Chase Card, and $1 in every $3 spent is by a Chase customer.
“We will launch ChaseTravel.com with Card customers later this year and then we’re going to open it up to all of our Chase customers” Marianne Lake said. “We will deliver distinctive content and experiences and become a full-service travel agency to our small business and premium leisure travelers. And we will introduce those important customers to our strategic partners, and so the flywheel begins. So, let me bring this to life through our evolving super app and ChaseTravel.com.”
9 Sapphire Lounges
One of the slides in the presentation (shown above) also revealed that Chase has a total of nine Sapphire Lounges in the works. These are officially knows as Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club.
We already knew that Chase was planning to open six lounges, and we do know where those lounges will be located. But there’s no additional information about the three additional Sapphire Lounges.
Here are the six known locations:
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) at Terminal B to C Connector
- Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) at Concourse C
- NYC LaGuardia Airport (LGA) at Terminal B
- Phoenix Airport (PHX) at Terminal 4
- San Diego International (SAN) at Terminal 2 West
- Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) at Terminal 1

[…] Well, at least Chase is trying to improve as its travel portal and lounges suck: Chase Announces New Travel Portal and Total of 9 Sapphire Lounges. […]
Purportedly, the portal will be available to all Chase customers . . . not just credit card customers. An interesting question is whether a Chase customer with only a checking account will earn UR points. If yes, a person who is currently over 5/24 (or who intends to remain over it) would not be locked out of the UR ecosystem.
Great!
Please clarify, are any of these Sapphire lounges available to CSP members?
Can’t wait to experience one of these lounges.
