Chase Offers $5 if You Tap to Pay 3x – Check Your Email

My wife and I both received email offers from Chase this week, valid on ‘tap to pay’ transactions. Both are pretty similar, so here’s a look at what we got. Hopefully, you’ll get some of these also.

For My Wife: Chase Offers 500 Points for 3x Tap to Pay a hand holding a credit card

My wife received this email for her Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card. Chase offers 500 bonus points if she will tap to pay three times by May 31, 2022. Each transaction must be $1.75 or more. Those points are worth $3.35 for a minimum of $5.25 in spending.

For Me: Chase Offers $5 for 3x Tap to Pay

a hand holding a credit card

My offer was “same same but different”. In my email, Chase offers $5 cash back if I tap to pay three times by May 31, 2022 using my Freedom Flex. Each transaction, again, must be $1.75 or more. Interestingly, my email came with a link to replace my card and get a new ‘tap to pay’ enabled card. I got the Freedom Flex when it first launched, so my card doesn’t have the ability to tap to pay right now.

The link in the email took me straight to my log-in page with Chase, and I completed the replacement form in about 30 seconds.

Checking for The Offers in Your Email

Since the offers came via email and don’t require registration, there’s no link where you can see if you’re targeted. Instead, check your email for this subject:

Well deserved: Ryan, you’re welcome to earn an extra $5 Cash Back

The emails came from Chase@e.chase.com

The link the replace my card sent me here. However, the page says nothing about the promotion, but you can always try your luck.

  1. Such an odd situation! Someone at Chase erred. I added Freedom Flex to my arsenal about 5 months after product launch because I had to wait to drop below 5/24. My card came with tap to pay. Either way, I appreciate the heads up. I will attempt to find the offer even though it hasn’t come by email. I am about to make multiple grocery runs to close the month.
