Targeted 50K UR Bonus For Sapphire Reserve Card Members With Chase Checking Accounts
Chase is targeting some Sapphire Reserve Card Members who also have a checking account, with an offer to earn 50,000 Ultimate Rewards for upgrading to Chase Private Client. You cannot get the bonus unless you received the offer directly from Chase.
The Offer
Earn 50,000 Sapphire Reserve Ultimate Rewards bonus points when you:
- Upgrade your account by bringing this letter with your Upgrade Code to a Private Client Banker by December 2, 2017
- Begin your relationship with a deposit of at least $100,000 in new money to your upgraded checking account within 10 business days, and maintain at least a $100,000 balance for 90 days
Key Terms
- Must upgrade to CPC by December 2, 2017
- Current Chase Private Clients are not eligible
Conclusion
This is a targeted offer, but it is an interesting one that we haven’t seen before. Chase is targeting those clients who have a Sapphire Reserve Card and checking account. Even if you were targeted, you will need to deposit $100K in the upgraded account and keep it there for 3 months, which is not feasible for everyone. But, if you’re able to make that kind of deposit it should be worth the trouble, even with the interest you’ll be forfeiting.

0.5% interest, well played. Chase
It is actually “3% TAX FREE”:
– $100,000 @ 3% = $3,000 (12 months)
– $3,000 / 4 = $750 (3 months)
– $750 is 50K UR points, in my book
I received the offer even though I don’t have a Chase checking account. Thinking about it – pretty easy 50k UR.
Interesting. Is it the same wording?
I visited the branch for a different purpose and was told of the same offer. Declined to join.
Got the offer. Undecided about whether to do it or not.
I think it’s worth it.
I went into my local Chase Branch and nobody there had heard about it. My banker made a call and while he was doing that he opened my account and said the offer was there. Giving it some serious thought.
