Get 15% Bonus on Points Earned with Chase Southwest Cards

If you have a Chase Southwest card, check your account for an offer that will get you a 15% bonus on points earned through your card. Let’s look at the details.

The Offer

There’s two different offers:

  • Receive a 15% bonus when you have at least 10,000 points post to your account between 2/1/19 and 4/30/19 under the category ‘Credit Card’. Up to a maximum of 15,000 points.
  • Receive a 15% bonus when you have at least 25,000 points post to your account between 2/1/19 and 4/30/19 under the category ‘Credit Card’. Up to a maximum of 15,000 points.

Key Terms

  • Bonus points count towards Southwest Companion Pass
  • Bonus points earned from Chase on a new credit card promotion will not be eligible for the 15% bonus.

Conclusion

The extra 15% bonus is not worth considering for regular credit card spending. However, if you plan on receiving a signup bonus on a Southwest credit card during that period, it could be a nice boost. Signup bonuses are excluded in the terms, but have still receive the bonus points in the past.
