Chase Spending Offers

Chase is jump-starting the new year with a offers to earn extra rewards for using your cards. New targeted offers were sent out for its co-branded credit cards, but you can also check if you are targeted. These are offers that give you extra points for completing a certain amount of spending for listed categories. Those targeted can earn up to 10X points on these purchases.

Update 10/16/22: The points from these offers are posting quickly, on the statement that closes once the spend is completed. Also remember to check again if you weren’t targeted a week or two ago. Many people are reporting seeing offers now when they didn’t originally.

Update 10/8/22: Numerous reports of people being targeted now when they weren’t when the offers first launched so check your cards again.

The Offer

There are a few offers floating around that I have seen so far, maybe more. If you got something different let me know in the comments.

  • Earn 10X (or 10% back) at gas stations
  • Earn 5X (or 5% back) at gas stations
  • Earn 5X (or 5% back) at grocery stores / Amazon

We saw similar offers back in several times over the last year, and these new spending offers are for. Let us know if you have any other offers that are not listed here and be sure to check all your accounts. That 10X gas station offer is pretty amazing, especially if on your Hyatt card!

  1. I assume that when it says 10% back on my Amazon co-branded card, it means money, and not Ultimate Rewards points? The latter are worth more if you have a Sapphire card, too.

  2. 7X total points for every dollar spent on up to $1,500 in combined purchases at gas stations, grocery stores and home improvement stores with your IHG® Rewards Credit Card.*

  3. Hyatt personal 10x gas + 5x grocery/Amazon up to $1500 combined spend. Gonna have to remember to shift spend of my Wyndham biz for a few months.

    • Same. I don’t spend much on gas (I drive a plug in hybrid), but I should have at least a couple of roadtrips next quarter where that’ll be a phenomenal return.

All my other cards are still showing their Q3 offers, so I’ll have to try again from Saturday on.

  4. Got good offers on all 4 came branded cards. 10x on gas, 5x Amazon and grocery for both United and Aeroplan, 5x everything IHG and Marriott.

  5. Got 10x for Starbucks on my CFU. No Thanks! Currently have 5x on Disney for gas and groceries until 6.30. Hoping that gets extended at least.

  6. I got the spend $6k get 6k bonus points on United MP, and completed that spend and received the bonus. Then I received an email offer from UA for 5X on gas and groceries til 31May. The ‘Activate’ link in the email then tells me the offer is not valid on my card. I have wasted much time talking to both Chase and UA MP, secure message asked for screenshot of the email. I’ve done all of it and they still can’t get the offer linked to my card. Total frustration.

  7. My United MP card did get an offer…. 6000 extra points after $6000 in spend. What a joke! I will try to not be insulted.

  8. Hyatt card got 5000 points for $3k in spend – not awful since this was the time i planned on denting the 15k in spend

  9. Wife’s United card had the same offer – 1500 for travel and groceries. My cards keep showing the Jan-March offers so will try again in 2 days

  10. Curious – my Marriott card was left out last quarter, but comes in at 5x travel, gas and groceries. The United and IHG cards are still showing the bonus that ends tomorrow.

  11. I got an offer for my Southwest card, 6x Southwest points for SW and Travel purchases, and 5x for gas. As soon as Q2 is over and the Freedom gas category drops off, I’ll definitely take advantage of this.

  12. One more: “ You’ll earn 5 total points for every $1 you spend on up to $1,500 on purchases from April 1 through June 30, 2021, with your Marriott BonvoyTM Credit Card.*”

  13. Another data point—pretty sweet deal: “ From 5/15/21 to 8/15/21, you’ll earn 8 total Bonus Points on purchases at all Hyatt hotels and 5 total Bonus Points for every $1 you spend on other travel purchases and at gas stations on up to $1,500 in total combined purchases with your World of Hyatt Credit Card*”

  14. Mine on my Disney was extended. But it’s not for the same 5x on anything. Has to be on Disney or travel. Neither which I’m doing now. But is also for fuel but with a CF and CFF who needs that…
