PSA: Check Your Accounts Again For Missing Amex Offers

I wanted to do a quick PSA on those recent Amex offers. There were some amazing ones, but not everyone was targeted for them.  From stuff Amex has said it seemed like most people that were eligible should have got them, as a pandemic type of credit. To be eligible for these offers you had to have the account before November of 2019.

Because of this I went back to my accounts and checked for the $25 back on a $500 purchase, up to 10 times.  And wouldn’t you know it, the offer was on our Blue Business Plus card even though it wasn’t there when it first launched.  It has been said that Amex is rolling these out in waves so be sure to keep checking back if you don’t see it.  I can’t guarantee you will get it but it seems like most people should.

Personal Platinum Cards

Excludes “Scheduled Delivery” shipping and in-store pickup. Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $100). See terms for exclusions.
  • Best Buy – Get a $50 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $50 in one or more transactions online at bestbuy.com® by 6/30/2021. Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $100). See terms for exclusions.

Final Thoughts

I was pretty bummed about not getting the $25 back offer when it first launched.  I talked about wanting to stack it with my 2,000 points back after $6500 in spend Amex Offer on this week’s podcast.  So I was very happy to see it finally in our account the other night.

If you didn’t get one of these offers the first time around, and should be eligible, be sure to check back and see if it is in there now.  Hopefully you get a nice surprise in your account like I did.

  1. Newer offers should appear up at the top. But if you have 99+ offers available to you (not added to your account), try adding a bunch of them (even if you don’t care about them) to your account. Keep doing that and logging in & out of your account, until you are down below 100 offers, since that’s the most Amex will show to you. Sometimes going through this process will uncover some nice offers that were hidden.
