Citi AAdvantage 60K Bonus
Citi has increased the sign up bonus on the AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard once again, matching the best ever bonus. The offer is available on teh personal and business version of the card. Let’s take a look at the offer and Citi restrictions.
The Offers
Both the personal and the business card have the same exact offer available.
- Earn 60,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles after spending $3,000 within the first 3 months of account opening.
- Annual Fee: $95, fee waived for the first 12 months.

Citi Restricitons
Last year Citi made some huge changes to their bonus rules. I detailed them here, but basically you are now restricted to one bonus per product family per 24 months for personal and business cards. The worst part is that 24 month clock resets whenever you open OR close a card within that family. This application has that 24-month restriction, so it won’t be useful to most readers.
Luckily, from time to time certain applications have surfaced on Citi’s site that don’t contain this bonus language, so if you’re not eligible for the bonus, you’ll have to wait for one of those applications to come back again.
Analysis
This is the highest bonus we’ve seen on both cards but sadly they have the 24-month restriction. One plus for the business version is that it doesn’t show up on your credit reports. If you’re eligible for both, you could net over 120K AA miles.

I recently was approved for 50K business card, do you think they will match it to this promo?
I know with Amex I’m easily able to use my eBay store as a business. I wonder if the same would work for Citi and this offer? Are there other Citi business offers that are valuable?
