Citi ThankYou Transfer Partners
I really love flexible/convertible bank points because it gives me many more options when looking to redeem. Â While Citi’s ThankYou program isn’t the strongest when it comes to partners, it is good to see them expanding the selection. Yesterday, they added two new transfer partners JetBlue and ShopYourWay.
JetBlue
As of now, you can transfer ThankYou points to JetBlue from a variety of ThankYou earning cards including the no annual fee ThankYou Preferred and Forward cards. The transfers work as follows:
For Citi ThankYou® Premier, Citi Prestige® and Citi Chairman® cardmember point transfers to TrueBlue, 1,000 Points = 800 TrueBlue points. For Citi ThankYou Preferred or Citi Forward cardmember point transfers to TrueBlue, 1,000 Points = 500 TrueBlue points.
Overall not the best transfer ratio, but I believe it is in line with what Amex offers for transfers to JetBlue. It is nice to have this option though for top ups and let’s hope that we perhaps see an occasional transfer bonus.
ShopYourWay
In addition to JetBlue, Citi has added ShopYourWay as a transfer partner. ShopYourWay is the loyaylty program of Sears and Kmart. For transfers to ShopYourWay the ratio will be 1:12 which equates to 1 point equaling 1.2 cents in merchandise.
In my opinion this isn’t a great deal unless you have a specific purchase in mind for which you don’t want to pay cash and need to top up your account. Sears/Kmart aren’t in the best financial position right now and I wouldn’t want to have anymore of their points than I would need.

Conclusion
It is good to see Citi trying to up their transfer partner game with these two new additions. While I think the JetBlue addition does add some value, I am not a huge fan of adding ShopYourWay, but perhaps this will give some an easy way to liquidate their Citi points.
What are your thoughts on these two new transfer partners? Let us know in the comments!

I have found that Thank you points earned with Citi CC are better applied to outstanding charges (under “Redeem points for charges”) i.e grocery bills, etc. It is credited immediately and is 1:1. Currently I am earning 5% on grocery, drug stores, gas, & comuter til 11/30/16 with a cap of $25.00 cash. That may be a targeted promo for me however.
I Just see that it is not 1:1, but still seems the best way for me.
whatever works best for you man. nobody can tell you 1 pt redeemed at 1 cent is terrible. altho not the best by any means…
