Citi Travel Launches Curated Hotel Collection
Citi Travel has launched a curated collection of 4.5- and 5-star hotels and resorts called “The Reserve”. This program is similar to FHR by Amex of The Edit by Chase.
The Reserve offers stays that include additional amenities and privileges when booked with Citi Travel. Citi Travel says that it has added Omni as the first major Reserve and Hotel Collection partner. This addition has brought in 49 properties across both Collections, including the renowned Omni PGA Frisco Resort.
It’s worth noting that only select Citi credit cards are eligible to receive The Reserve benefits. That includes the newly launched Citi Strata Elite as well as the Strata Premier and Citi Prestige cards.
Benefits of The Reserve
When you book a hotel with The Reserve rate at checkout, you will receive daily breakfast for two, complimentary Wi-Fi, early check-in and late checkout privileges based on availability, and the possibility of a complimentary room upgrade based on availability.
The Reserve also gets you a complimentary $100 experience credit, which can be used on many on-property purchases ranging from food to spa treatments. The experience credit varies by property and details will be listed in the property page.
How to Book
In order to book through The Reserve, begin by logging onto Citi Travel or on the Citi Mobile® App using your Citi Online User ID and password.
Once there, search for your destination, travel dates, number of guests and number of rooms. On the results page, each property will have a tag indicating which tier of the program it corresponds to. Just look for the ones that say The Reserve, which should normally be at the top of the search results list.
Select one of the eligible properties, and also make sure to select a room rate corresponding to The Reserve to receive the benefits. Not all rates are eligible, but they are clearly labeled.
Once you’re ready to pay, you have the convenient option to pay for all or some of the stay with any combination of your ThankYou Points.
