CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select Card Offer

There is a new CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select Card offer that people may find very interesting. This is the highest offer that we have seen on the card in terms of miles, and there is no annual fee the first year. We have seen this offer come around a few times now though. Update 3/9/26: The offer has returned (HT DDG)

The Welcome Offer

Here are the details of the CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select Card welcome offer

Citi Application Rules

There are a few Citi application rules you should be aware of before grabbing this CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select Card offer:

48 Month Rule

American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles are not available if you have received a new account bonus for a CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® account in the past 48 months.

8/65 Rule

Citi will only approve you for 1 credit card application every 8 days, and at most 2 cards in a 65 day period.

3/6 Rule

Citi also looks at your last 6 months of hard inquiries when considering applications. If you have more than 3 hard inquiries in the previous 6 months (not just credit card hard pulls) then they are much less likely to approve you. This doesn’t seem to be as much of a focus with American Airlines cards though.

CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select Card Offer: Earning Structure

Here is the earning structure for the CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select Card:

  • Earn 2x miles for every $1 spent at:
    • Eligible American Airlines purchases
    • Gas stations and car rental merchants
    • Telecommunications merchants and cable and satellite providers
  • Earn 1x on every other eligible purchase
  • You will also earn 1x Loyalty Points on every eligible purchase

Notable Card Perks

Here are some notable card perks that come along with this American Airlines business credit card offer:

  • Each cardmember (primary and employees) earns one Loyalty Point for every $1 spent on their business card purchases.
  • First checked bag free on domestic American Airlines itineraries for you and up to 4 travel companions on the same reservation
  • Preferred boarding on American Airlines flights

American Airlines Business Card Increased Offer

This offer matches the best ever bonus we have seen for the CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard. Getting the annual fee waived the first year is just a cherry on top. This card is a pretty good companion for anyone that is looking to spend their way to AAdvantage elite status too.
