CLEAR Gets More Expensive
CLEAR is getting more expensive. The company has revealed that prices are going up by $10 for on July 1st.
A CLEAR Plus membership allows members to use biometric data to verify their identity and lets them skip security lines at airports and stadiums. Clear is available at 59 airports and several stadiums and arenas around the country.
The price for CLEAR Plus will go up to $209, from the current price of $199 for an annual membership, as reported by TPG.
This is third time that CLEAR has hiked prices, with the previous price increase happening less than a year ago. in August of 2024, the price went from $189 to $199.
CLEAR has a partnership with American Express and you can get the membership for free if you have the Amex Platinum, Amex Business Platinum, Amex Hilton Aspire or Amex Green cards. These cards will refund you the annual membership fee, and that benefit will also be updated to $209 on July 1st to reflect the price increase.
The best way to get CLEAR is by using one of those credit cards, while there’s a signup bonus. We have seen offers such as a $75 Uber credit or $100 travel credit in the past.
