Convert Your Delta Rollover MQMs
Starting Jan. 1, 2024, Delta introduced Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) which are now the only qualifier for Medallion Status. SkyMiles Members will no longer need to track Medallion Qualification Miles or Medallion Qualification Segments.
As it phases out MQMs, Delta is giving SkyMiles members with rollover MQMs from 2023, a one-time choice to convert them into redeemable miles, MQDs or a combination of the two. Now this option is live.
You will have until December 31, 2024 to decide what you want to do with your Rollover MQMs. You can choose to extend your Medallion Status, or convert them to MQDs, miles or a combination of both.
Members with MQM Rollover balances over 100,000 can also choose to extend their 2024 Medallion Status for 1 year per every 100,000 Rollover MQMs. Any Rollover MQMs exceeding a 100,000 threshold, and which are not used for Status extension, can be converted into miles or MQDs.
Here are the choices you have if you decide to convert your miles:
- 100% miles and 0% MQDs
- 75% miles and 25% MQDs
- 50% miles and 50% MQDs
- 25% miles and 75% MQDs
- 0% miles and 100% MQDs
Rollover MQM balance will be converted at a ratio of 1 mile per 2 MQMs, or 1 MQD per 10 MQMs.
