Free Points from IHG
IHG Rewards Club is apparently sending members out 1,000 free points for their birthday, that is if their birthday is actually set within their profile. Apparently you don’t normally add birthday information when setting up an account, so you have to go back in and manually do it later.
To set your birthday:
- Click ‘Personal Information’ in the left hand sidebar
- Scroll down
- Click “Add Birthday”
- Add the day and month of your birth
That should be an easy 1,000 points.

As you can tell, I am a terrible pirate and most definitely shouldn’t try to get a free donut by talking like a pirate, however if you want to give it a shot, stop in today to Krispy Kreme for a free donut if you talk like a pirate or a free dozen if you dress like one. You can also digitally dress up as a pirate through Snapchat and get a free dozen.

Does Lowe’s sell gift cards? If so, can these cards be used for in-store purchases of third party gift cards?
They do, but I do not believe they will allow you to use Lowe’s gift cards to purchase gift cards. At least my locations won’t allow it.
