Deal Roundup Cinco de Mayo Edition
There are a ton of small deals floating around today that I wanted to cover in addition to a great deal on Sam’s Club Membership. Let’s take a look!
Sam’s Club Membership Offer
Sam’s Club is offering a membership deal. For $45 you get:
- A free upgrade to a Sam’s Plus® membership
- An Instant Savings offer package (coupons)
- One free 2.75 lb. rotisserie chicken
- One free two-pack 24 oz. tray Steakhouse Yukon Gold mashed potatoes
- One free fresh 12″ Daily Chef apple pie
- One $25 Sam’s Club gift card or e-gift card.
If you are looking for a Sam’s Club membership then this is timely and almost the best we have seen. I would try to use a portal, although I doubt it will track. The way I see this is you get a membership for $20 and some free food. You can find the offer and full terms here.

Lots of Freebies
Speaking of deals, there are a ton of free things you can get today.
- Walgreens Free 8 X 10 photo: Use code FREEGIFTPIC when checking out. I love when they have these deals. I set aside photos that I want to print and wait until they offer these deals. HT: Slickdeals
- Free Redbox DVD or $1.50 off game or Blu-ray: Simply use the code H99976F2 either online or in-app. (Will not work at the kiosk.) HT: Slickdeals
- Free regular sub from Jersey Mike’s: Visit this link and follow the prompts. You need to opt-in to text and email messages, but I suppose you can always opt-out later. I did it and got my points for the free sub within minutes. HT: PDX Deals Guy
Cinco de Mayo Specials
While there aren’t a ton of Cinco de Mayo specials this year, here is what I have found.
- Save $5 off $25 or more at Groupon (local deals) with the code CINCO. Use a portal to save more.
- Looking for food and drink specials from national brands? Fortune has the scoop as does Huffington Post.
Happy saving!

Shawn – Thanks for the heads up on the Sam’s Club deal; been looking for a good one for a few months.
FYI for anyone else interested in the Sam’s Club promo – if you sign up online (as of earlier this afternoon), you WILL NOT get the auto upgrade or the e-card. There’s a bug in their system (they are aware & working on it) that will process your membership as a regular Savings Membership w/ no extra goodies. I printscreened everything and had to call to get it straightened out. You may want to just use the “email me the offer code” option or wait a couple of days to sign up online.
Groupon code is for local deals only, not goods.
Yes it is. I’ll make sure to clarify in the post.
