Delta Airlines award flight sale

New Award Sale from Delta for Shanghai and the Caribbean

Yet another award sale from Delta Airlines.  They are going at it non stop these past few weeks.  This time around we can find prices as low as 14,000 SkyMiles to the Caribbean or 35,000 SkyMiles to Shanghai. These prices are for round trip flights.

Sale Terms

The flight sale comes with the following terms:

  • Book by September 26, 2018
  • Fly September 20 – October 31, 2018 for Shanghai deals
  • Fly October 10 – November 16, 2018 for Caribbean and South America deals

Best Options

Many of the routes on sale are regional flights but here are some of the better options I saw:

  • New York-Kennedy, NY (JFK) to Santiago, Dominican Republic (STI) – 14K RT
  • Boston, MA (BOS) to Bermuda, Bermuda (BDA) – 16K RT
  • Atlanta, GA (ATL) to Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ) – 24K RT
  • Los Angeles, CA (LAX) to Shanghai (PVG) – 35K RT
  • Washington-Reagan National, DC (DCA) to Shanghai (PVG) – 50K RT

Conclusion

There’s a few good deals here and there’s usually even more discounted routes that are not listed in these Delta award sales.  If you were planning a trip on one of these routes then you are in luck.  Remember that American Express Membership Rewards points transfer to Delta Airlines and that you can get 100,000 MR points with the Platinum card’s current targeted offer.
