Three Delta Passengers Test Positive for COVID-19
Delta has revealed that three people have tested positive for coronavirus after taking one of their flight from Atlanta to Albany, New York. The passengers were not symptomatic on Endeavor Air flight 4815 that departed on July 6, but began showing symptoms on July 7. Endeavor Air is a regional airline and a subsidiary of Delta.
“We have been made aware of three customers who tested positive for Covid-19 and recently traveled on Endeavor from Atlanta to Albany. We are following the guidance of local healthcare officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The health and safety of our customers and crews is our top priority,” Delta spokesman Anthony Black told CNN.
Delta is in contact with regional CDC officials and has provided a list of the 44 passengers that might be affected and Rensselaer County in New York issued an advisory on Friday. “Any passengers on the flight are advised to call their home county health department,” the post said.
It it not clear yet where or when these passengers became infected with the virus.

So with the time line, they were infected before boarding the plane. The actual important data will be whether or not any of the other passengers test positive this week. If none of them do, then the safety protocols work fine.
I think it’s super cool of Delta to release this information. A lot of other airlines (*cough* AA) would probably keep it quiet. Maybe not even notify the passengers that were on the flight.
