Delta SkyMiles: 31K First Class Round Trip

Delta SkyMiles: 31K First Class Round Trip

There’s a crazy good Delta award sale on flights to Mexico and some Caribbean Islands from several airports. Round trips start at just 12,000 SkyMiles for Main Cabin and 18,000 for Delta Comfort, but the real value here is First Class for 31k Skymiles. There’s availability from September through November but I really had to play around with the dates and options to get the 31k First Class seats to show. There’s a ton of availability for Delta Comfort Seats at 18k. which is really a great value and 50k for First Class is widely available as well.

The Offer

Fly for as little as 12,000 SkyMiles round trip from select US airports to several cities destinations. Other SkyMile deals and terms and conditions can be found here. The page says to book by June 20th, so there’s little time to waste- if you’re not sure, you can book it and then cancel within 24 hours. It seems you can also book one way for most of these itineraries, but again you have to try out different searches to see what works.

Conclusion

These fares will not last long. You can fly for just 12,000 SkyMiles round-trip plus taxes and fees to Cancun or reduced SkyMiles award tickets to some other Caribbean islands. These trips would usually cost double that, so take advantage of this Delta award sale now, and let us know if you book a trip. For reference, I looked up flight prices on Google Flights and they’re also having a sale on the cash rate in economy ($195 on select dates). However, Delta Comfort starts around $350 and First Class starts around $750.

  2. Interesting great deals to be sure, if you can handle the seasonal risk. For me, such promos are risky non-starters precisely because they’re essentially non-refundable — short of an actual hurricane hitting your destination on your planned travel weekend. No? No wonder they’re sooooo cheap, especially for October. I’ve done travel to the region in October (back when IHG did great half off deals) — via refundable Southwest fares. (or close in cash reservations with JetBlue using ChaseUR points — which nicely discounts the whole fare — including the too often nasty Caribbean-class airport taxes….. 🙂 )
