Following SPG’s recent announcement, Hilton has released the details of their new summer promotion. The new promotion is called Double Your Hhonors and as the name suggests, you can earn either double points or double miles on stays between May 1, 2014 & July 31, 2014.

While this is a worldwide offer, there are quite a few hotels that have decided not to participate. Unfortunately, most of the non-participating hotels are located in the United States. You can find a list of them here.

I highly suggest heading over to the promotion page to register as soon as possible since registration must be completed prior to checkout in order to receive the bonus. In the past I have forgotten to register, so I always do it as soon as the details of the promotion are released.  Note that you must choose whether or not you want to earn double points or double miles.  Your selection cannot be changed later, so make sure you choose the best option for you.

Analysis

While this isn’t the best promotion and Hhonors points aren’t worth very much in general, it is still a good tool to earn extra points if you have any upcoming Hilton stays. Hilton has also released a FAQ to answer any and all questions regarding the promotion.  Don’t forget that Hilton’s current promotion runs through the end of the month so there aren’t any gaps!
