Earn 3X or More with Chase Freedom Unlimited
Chase has launched a new special offer for
, and this one resembles an offer that we usually see on the Discover it card. The welcome bonus is gone, but instead the cash back you earn during the first year will be matched. And that includes bonus categories as well. That means a minimum of 3% cash back and up to as much as 10% cash back. Let’s see the details. The Offer
Unlimited Matched Cash Back. Chase will automatically match all the cash back you earned at the end of your first year! There is no limit to how much cash back you can earn with a new card.
Here’s what that means:
- 10% (up from 5%) on travel purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards.
- 6% (up from 3%) on dining at restaurants, including takeout and eligible delivery services.
- 6% (up from 3%) on drugstore purchases
- Unlimited 3% (up from 1.5%) cash back on all purchases.
Conclusion
This is a different offer for the card. Instead of a upfront welcome bonus, you get double cash back for the first 12 statement cycles. That means a minimum of 3% cash back, and also 6% back on popular categories such as drugstores and restaurants. That is unlimited double cash back for 12 months, which can be huge for those who have large amounts of spend over the next year.
This offer gets even better if you have a premium Chase credit card such as Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Business Preferred. Your cash back can be converted to Ultimate Rewards and becomes much more valuable.
Just note that this card falls under Chase 5/24. So you need to examine your spending possibilities over the next 12 months, to see if the Freedom Unlimited is worth a slot.

I applied for chase freedom unlimited through this link. I have read through my terms and conditions for my card when it arrived and can’t find the language about doubling the points earned after the first year. How do I know if this will work after the year is up? Thanks a lot. Great show
You can call them or send a secure message to verify it is on there as it should be. That is normally the best.
Can I close my current one then reapply again?
