Earn 5X Tier Credits When Booking Directly With Caesars
Caesars Rewards, the old Total Rewards, just announced an interesting change to their rewards program. Starting today you will now earn 5x Tier Credits when booking directly with Caesars. This is on room rates and those pesky resort fees but only when you book direct. This is big news since it makes earning Diamond status much easier.
Why This Is An Interesting Offer
If you were unable to do the Wyndham to Caesars match or get Diamond status matching one of these then you are in luck. You need to earn 15,000 tier credits to earn Diamond status. You used to earn 1 tier credit per dollar spent on lodging but you are now earning 5X. That means you could earn Diamond status after spending $3,000 on hotel stays, assuming that you do not earn tier credits any other way. That really isn’t a ton when you think of how often people visit Vegas, Atlantic City, New Orleans etc.
Caesars Rewards has a new perk of earning 1 free night in Las Vegas or Atlantic City for every 5,000 tier credits you earn. That means you would get 3 free stays from your $3,000 in spend as well.
Questions I Have
The tweet sent out by Caesars specifies room rate and resort fees. But I wonder if charging dining and drinks back to the room and paying at check out may work as well. That would be huge if it did but I am not sure if that is the case. Hopefully someone will be able to test it out and let us know.
Why Diamond Status Is Great
I keep talking about Diamond status because it is pretty valuable. It comes with the following goodies:
- Ditch resort fees for good
- $100 celebration dinner
- Diamond Lounge access with 10,000 rewards credits
- 2 free nights at Caesars Bluewaters Dubai
- 2 Free show tickets per month
- Complimentary stay at Atlantis, Paradise Island in The Bahamas
- You get to cut lines and many other perks.
And Caesars just made it a whole lot easier to earn. You can get Platinum status after only spending $1,000 on hotel rates. That comes with some nice perks plus you would earn that 1 free night in Vegas or AC!
Even though I almost never pay for a hotel in Vegas or Atlantic City, at least not directly ;), I am pretty pumped about this change. There are Caesars casinos all over the place, I even stayed at the on in Kansas City last year. This made getting, and keeping, status with them that much easier.
Now if the charging drinks and food back to the room trick works as well – WATCH OUT!
