Update: This deal has ended. The price has increased to $19 per book.
A couple of weeks ago I posted that Entertainment Books were selling at a price of $10 for one and $15 for two. I thought that was a great price and bought two, but now the price has been slashed even more.
For today only, Entertainment books are selling for $5 each including free shipping. Additional books are only $4. I can’t really see them getting any cheaper and I have never seen them so heavily discounted this early in the year.

Unfortunately the deal ended last night. I have updated the post.
Sorry! Edit: do you “think”…
Hey, Shawn, do you ink the coupons will help us some in Maui if I choose Hawaii as the state before purchasing? I would love to save some rental car fees. Or the coupons are really not state specific? Tnx!
Yes they have a lot of national coupons and local coupons as well. If you click on the book, it tells you which national brands are available and let you see the local discounts as well.
The rental car coupons are definitely worth it and have been applied with pre-existing loyalty discounts and any other specials like last minute, prepay etc. Whenever I book a car, I usually head over to http://www.mousesavers.com and enter EVERY code to get the best rate. If the coupon isn’t combineable, it will tell you but I have had a lot of success and end up getting great deals. This is the big reason I buy the book every year. Oh, and you do have to present the coupon so this isn’t an Internet kind of thing.
My problem is the coupons are geared toward big cities and I am in a small town so I will never use the restaurant/entertainment options.
There is also SuperShuttle, FTD, Ace, Overstock.com, Michaels, JCP, Party City, Office Max, Office Depot, Macys, Gap, ToysRUs, Sports Authority, Dicks, just to name a few.
Really great deal! Mine arrived yesterday. If anyone wants to know any specific coupons, I will check. Right off the top of my head, there was a free weekend day with Alamo and free day at National. Also, $10 off of an AA flight (up to six people); 10 percent off at Hotels.com’s lowest price.
Thanks, Linda. Hopefully the two I ordered for $15 will show up soon. From your experience, are the Alamo and National coupons truly a “free” day (off of the best available rate)? And are they one-time use, or just the types of codes that float around the internet?
I’m sure there’s local coupons (restaurants, etc.) that easily justify $4.50 per book. The only question is how many are we likely to use of the best coupon(s). Guess the excess coupons can always be shared with friends and co-workers. 🙂
I find the rental car coupons are sometimes nice depending on what other codes are available for the provider you choose. They end up being another tool, but sometimes there are better codes elsewhere and sometimes not.
Mine arrived yesterday as well. They do take way too long to ship them, but oh well.
Darn! I overpaid by $6! Do I really need 4 books?!? Crazy. I’ve loosely followed this (via constant emails from them) over the past few years, and agree that I’ve never seen them this cheap – especially this early in the year.
