Fly to Europe For Just $69

WOW Air, the Icelandic budget airline, has a new promotion that can get you to Iceland for just $69. Norwegian Air also has a good promotion for those that want to visit Spain this fall. Let’s look at the prices.

$69 Fares with WOW Air

WOW Air is offering $69 one-way fares to Reykjavik from several US cities. You can book directly on the WOW Air website. You can fly out of NYC, LA, Chicago, Dallas, Boston, San Francisco, Detroit and other locations.

Key Terms

  • Limited seats available
  • Travel period is May-June and September-October
  • Valid for new online bookings

$350 Direct Round Trip NYC – Madrid on Norwegian

Low-cost carrier Norwegian Air has round-trip flights from New York (JFK) to Madrid Spain (MAD) for just $350. These are non stop flights, and there’s availability in October, November and December.

Fees

WOW and Norwegian and both low-cost carriers so prepare yourself to pay for any extras and don’t assume anything will be free. You’re only allowed a free carry-on item. You’ll have to pay for a carry-on bag and checked luggage. Seat assignment will also cost you.

Conclusion

These are budget airlines so this sale is not for everyone. Prices are cheap though, so it is worth a look if you’re planning a short getaway to one of these destinations and beyond in Europe.

Don’t forget to maximize your credit card rewards. Use Amex Platinum that offers 5x MR on airfare, Chase Sapphire Reserve for 3x UR on travel, or Citi Prestige for 3x TYP on airfare. You can also use travel credit from your Citi Prestige or the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

  1. And it seems like $200 to fly HOME from Reykjavik, so no deal whatsoever when you factor in the hassle factor of flying an airline that gives you nothing (like a carry-on).
